AC163 Embossed greek greaves, 6th-1st Cent. BC

Description

These embossed greaves were used both by greek and italic warriors, and this kind of pattern is still to be found during the 1st cent BC. The embossed decorations shows wings on the sides, as if to make the warrior lighter, allowing him a quicker pace.

Height 53cm. Diamater adjustable. Brass, leather border an inner felt padding.
