AX496 Boarding axe

This is a reproduction of a 18th boarding axe. On a crowded ship, long weapons were not very useful, risking to get stuck in a rope or wood, so horter weapons were prefered. This one as a pick, and a blade, also used to cut ropes.

Soft iron. Length 58cm, width 24,5cm, weigth 1,7kg.

× These swords and sabers are high quality copies. Blades are made of forged and tempered steel. They might not be used for fencing, though.
