HL188 Sassanid helmet

Description

This helmet is a reproduction of the one found during the Dura Europos excavations. It belonged to a sassanid warrior, who died during the fight in the mine under the citywall. Its chainmail collar give a very medieval look, but it is nevertheless a third cent piece of armor.

Iron helmet. Crest, edge and plume holder made of brass. Rivetted steel chainmail.

2,9kg. Width 18cm, length 22cm.
