HL201 Pig face bacinet end of the 14th century

When plate armor came into use, a new kind of helmet appears, the basinet. The visor is mobile, to allow the knight to see and breathe easily when not fighting. The bottom front plate is hinged, too, to allow the helmet to be put on the head. The shape of the visor was designed to deflect lance thrusts.

Sold with its attached chainmail collar.

Weight 4.0kg. 21cm (long) x 19cm (wide), 30cm (height). Metal 1.0/1.5mm thick
