HL259 Sugar loaf with movable visor

Description

At the end of the 13th century, helmet hat becomes ogival, to sustain swords an axes hit more efficiently. The front plate, designed to protect the face, evolves to be movable, for more comfort. At the end of the 14th century this evolution will climax with the bacinet. This reproduction is in between, perfectly fitting for the 14th cent. For the ones who like the though and sturdy great helms design, but are interested in getting more fresh air !

Made of 1,6mm thick iron, with thick brass decorations. Inner fabric padding and leather chinstrap. Size 59/60.
