SW106 Greek sword, Campovalano

Description

This sword is made after an archeological piece, found in Italy, in the Campovalano necropolis. The blade is made of iron, whereas the grip an guard are made of bone, covered with iron plates. The final piece of the scabbard is made of brass and bone.

This kind of sword was widely used by Greek warriors, and is dated around 500BC.

Length 75cm, blade 58cm, weight 1.3kg.
