SW114 Roman pugio, decorated scabbard

Description

The pugio in use during the first century is more peasantry than a really used weapon - for the roman legionary most relied on its gladius during close fight. Almost all legionaries were equipped with one, though, sometimes with a very complicated decoration.

Iron scabbard decorated with embossed brass plates. 35cm long.

× All these weapons have steel or bronze blades, but are not intended for fencing, unless otherwise specified. It is reminded that the sale of bladed weapons to minors is prohibited, and that even though our reproductions are primarily intended for decoration or historical reenactment, their acquisition is reserved exclusively to adults.
