SW151 Porto Vecchio gladius

Description

This sword is made after the one found near Porto Vecchio, in Corsica. The embossed plates are replaced by a sun-looking drilled pattern, and brass patterns, as it will be the case for the Pompeii types gladii. Even if this artifact was identified as a Mainz type, our reproduction is now equipped with a straight Pompeii kind blade.
Scabbard made of wood, brown leather and brass. Grip made of wood and bone.

Total length 73cm, blade 52cm, 800g

× All these weapons have steel or bronze blades, but are not intended for fencing, unless otherwise specified. It is reminded that the sale of bladed weapons to minors is prohibited, and that even though our reproductions are primarily intended for decoration or historical reenactment, their acquisition is reserved exclusively to adults.
