SW160 Podlodow type spatha

Description

This roman sword was in use during the second half of the 3d century. A dozen of them were found in Poland, near Podlow, but some other were also found on the Limes.

Blade made of steel, handle made of brass and wood. Scabbard made of wood covered in leather with brass brackets.

Length 88cm, blade 73,5cm. Blade's width at handle 4,8cm. Weight 1,25kg.
