SW165 Iron Naue II late Aegean sword

Description

The Naue II sword begins its military career in northern Italy around 1450 BC. It will spread throughout the whole Mediterranean world (one was found in Ugarit) quickly, and will last more than 700 years. With the iron age, the bronze blade will be replaced by a steel one, but the pattern won't change.

Our replica has a bronze (and not brass) hilt, a steel blade, is 64cm long (48cm for the blade), weight 1030g and comes with a decorated letter scabbard. A wonderful historical piece to have in every ancient history collection !

× All these weapons have steel or bronze blades, but are not intended for fencing, unless otherwise specified.
