SW170 Celtic Short Sword, bronze hilt

Description

The sword is the most prestigious weapon among the celts, even if it not so well spread within the troopers. It was indeed the weapon of the high ranking warriors. The short sword, as this one which bronze hilt features an human body, was essentially a ceremonial weapon, intended for leaders and cavalry. Our replica is dated for the late Tene period (150-50 BC).

Total weigth 840g, length 52cm (38cm long blade). Hilt made of bronze, blade made of high carbon steel.
