SW916 Irish sword

Description

The Irish fighters were well known for their fierceness, and fought along many armies during the 15th and 16th cent. Fighting units counted heavy warriors, named Gallowglass, and light infantry, Kerns. Both used this easily recognizable sword, with a ring shaped pommel. Our reproduction also has trefoil patterns on the quillons. Also see the matching dagger, SW917.


Length 95cm, 1,2kg, leather and wood scabbard.
